Kings County SPCA Dogs

Dog Licensing

All dogs in Kings County are required to wear an identification tag. The Kings County SPCA supports this by-law and is a sales agent for the Municipality. Tags are purchased at time of adoption. Residents of the towns of Wolfville, Kentville and Berwick must purchase the tags from the town office. Dog tag proceeds support the Animal Control program in the county. As a responsible pet owner, the licensing of your dog ensures its safety and helps to support the humane treatment of all dogs in your community. By having your dog spayed or neutered, you reduce the cost of the county tag from $30 to $10 a year.

To read the by-law and to view other dogs available for adoption go to Kings County Animal Control.
